Epic Landus Swimrun Race

The race area

Ullibarri Lake, also known as Landa’s Lake, is the largest in the Basque country (220 Hm3) and has a triple role; watersupply to Alava and Vizcaya, regulate the flow of the Zadorra river and also to serve as recreation and leisure area, being one of the most frequented places in summer by the Vitoria citizens and many athletes and major sporting events as Vitoria triathlon or the famous trail running race Hiru-Haundiak (the big 3).

The lake is surrounded by a green route, which runs in an eight shape with a total of 47 kilometers with two sides of different lengths, connected by the aqueduct of Azua: a long leg of 34 kilometers to the North of the natural reservoir, and another shorter, 13 kilometers to the South.

Our races run through the area, taking advantage of the orography of the mountains, like the Urbina pike(698 mt) or the Zuatza island and views to the East of Ullibarri dam.
